PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – Aug. 20, 2026 – The Calvert County Department of Public Works announces resurfacing work on Skinners Turn Road will begin Sunday, Aug. 23, and continue through Thursday, Aug. 27, weather permitting. Work will be performed overnight between 6 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Portions of the road in Owings will be closed as work proceeds, and flaggers will direct traffic through lane closures. The total length of the resurfacing project is 1.8 miles.
