At the Charles-County Animal Care Center:
No calories. All zoomies. Zebra Cake is the only treat you'll take home this August with zero adoption fee!
As part of Maryland 3000, this 6-month-old, 42-pound Pointer mix has a waived adoption fee and comes fully loaded with toy-chasing skills, peanut butter Kong enthusiasm, and championship-level cozy bed naps. Grab your slice of happiness before someone else snags the whole cake! Meet him during adoption hours, Monday-Friday 11am-4pm and Saturday 10am-3pm.

197370-Introducing Mooch, a 1-year-old Collie/Hound mix who believes personal space is just a silly human invention. Going to the kitchen? He's coming. Walking to the mailbox? Count him in. Sitting on the couch? Excellent, he's already reserved the seat next to you. Mooch is a friendly guy who thrives on companionship and dreams of a home where someone is around most of the day. He's enjoyed playdates with both big and small dogs, so he'd likely be thrilled to have a canine coworker to help pass the time. A fenced yard is high on his wish list because every great adventure deserves a safe place for zoomies. His name is Mooch, but the only thing he's really looking to borrow is your heart... and maybe a few extra belly rubs while he's at it. Come meet this lovable Velcro pup and see if you've got room for one very enthusiastic sidekick! Meet him during adoption hours, Monday-Friday 11am-4pm and Saturday 10am-3pm.

He's got a Smooth personality, a heart that marches to his own beat, and he's looking for The Game of Love, Meet Santana! This friendly guy is FIV+, but don't let that change your tune. Cats with FIV can live long, happy, healthy lives. Give Santana the chance to Hold On, and he'll have your heart singing an encore of purrs, head boops, and lifelong friendship.
Meet him at the Charles County Animal Care Center.

At St. Mary's Adoption and Resource Center:
Meet this sweet beauty named Blanca! This girl is very nervous when first meeting new people but will quickly adjust given time. Blanca does not appear confident in herself just yet. She depends on her human for comfort and will need a family that will help her become more confident! Due to an incident in her previous adoptive home, we would not recommend Blanca be adopted into a home with other dogs, cats or small animals. She is extremely timid, and young children may frighten her. This girl is looking for someone, preferably with GSD experience, that can build her confidence and provide her with a safe and patient home. Adoption applications can be submitted in person at the St. Mary's County Animal Adoption & Resource Center located at 22975 FDR Blvd California, MD 20619 View all adoptable animals here: https://www.stmaryscountymd.gov/animalshelter/Adoptable/

We appreciate your patience and look forward to helping you find your new best friend. ????????????????

Rue
Looking for a dog who thinks the best part of the day is curling up next to his favorite person? Meet Rue. At nearly 115 pounds, Rue definitely isn't "travel size"... but that's just more dog to love. WE STILL HAVE KITTENS
Our kitten season is still in full swing, and we have nearly a dozen kittens waiting to find their forever homes.
✨ Ages 10 to 16 weeks
